CELEBRATING Singapore’s 46th birthday, the National Heritage Board (NHB) is granting free admission for seven of its museums to all Singaporeans and permanent residents in August.
The free admission for Singaporeans and PRs is valid from Monday (Aug 1) to Aug 31.
The seven museums are:
Asian Civilization Museum
National Museum of Singapore
Singapore Art Museum
Singapore Philatelic Museum
and Memories at Old Ford Factory and Reflections at Bukit Chandu.
Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, said the free admission was to allow Singaporeans to have a greater accessibility to the museums to learn more about the diverse heritage and culture of Singapore.
The museums will also be having an open house on National Day (Aug 9) and Hari Raya (Aug 30).
On these Open House days, admission is free for all – to all galleries and exhibitions including special exhibitions, such as Terracotta Warriors: The First Emperor and His Legacy at Asian Civilisation Museum, Abbas, 45 Years in Photography at National Museum of Singapore as well as Art Garden at Singapore Art Museum.
